The Gateway Programme gives Year 11–13 students at Spotswood College the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a career or industry they're interested in while still at school. By spending time in a real workplace, students can develop practical skills, build confidence, and gain a better understanding of what their chosen career path involves. The programme helps bridge the gap between classroom learning and the world of work, making the transition from school to employment or further study much smoother.
We're excited to welcome Quin, a Gateway student, to REMAX Team Realty who is eager to learn more about the real estate industry. Over the coming weeks, she'll gain firsthand experience of the day-to-day operations of a busy real estate office, developing practical skills and valuable industry knowledge. Below, she has shared a little about herself and what she hopes to gain from her time with our team:
Hi I’m Quin, I am 16 years old and attend Spotswood College. I decided to participate in gateway to get more knowledge around real estate. Gateway is a great way for students to experience hands on learning, build up student’s workplace knowledge, and help develop new skills for employment. I choose to do real estate because I really admired how confident, determined, and well-spoken real estate agents are. Growing up my parents were always attending open homes and since then I’ve always looked at pursuing real estate in the future. During my real estate gateway experience I want to learn heaps of useful information, build my confidence, and improve my people skills. I can do this by always giving everything a go, showing up with a positive attitude, and always asking lots of questions.
